On Thursday, December 10th, 2009 beginning at 6pm the City Council will hold a special meeting at the Warr Acres Community Center. This meeting will be held to honor Warr Acres and Bethany police officers for valor displayed on September 10th, 2009. On this date Officer Scott Schatzer was involved in a shooting while attempting to stop a stolen vehicle. During this incident Officer Schatzer was shot. Officers of the Warr Acres Police Department and Bethany Police Departments were involved in assisting Officer Schatzer and taking suspects into custody. All citizens are invited to attend this special meeting to show their support and appreciation for the work of the officers involved.
